Oxnard is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Oxnard follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. This has always been one of my favorite comfort food spots in the Oxnard/Ventura area. Whenever I was craving something warm and comforting, their soups were my go-to, and I loved being able to order them through DoorDash when I didn't feel like going out. Unfortunately, I recently found out they've changed their menu to an all-you-can-eat format and no longer offer many of the individual items and soups I used to order. As someone who enjoyed specific menu favorites, this change was really disappointing. I understand businesses evolve, but I think it would have been much better to keep the option of ordering individual meals while offering all-you-can-eat as an additional choice. That way loyal customers could still enjoy their favorite dishes the way they always have. I'll definitely miss being able to order my favorite soups, and I hope they consider bringing back more flexible menu options in the future.

This was my 1st time at Tasty Pot and I enjoyed every bit of it. They were so kind and friendly and very helpful. Thank you for making my 1st experience a great one. It won't be my last and I'm telling everyone about it! I was looking for a place with healthy, holistic ingredients and they did not fail me. I walked in with a headache and walked out with a smile and pep in my step! Food is medicine!

Wow it has changed format now in addition to the hard to decide menu you can go all you can eat for one price. Damn delicious πŸ˜‹... I picked the wrong week to go on a diet.

Japanese Miso: 10/10 holy smokes this is so good on its own. Tons of meat and a good amount of veggies with udon noodles. Awesome broth. Sichuan: 8/10 added medium spice. Good flavors, nice amount of mixed meat n veggies. Felt like it was missing something but idk what? Either way its good Calamari: 10/10 (DIFFERENT SEASONING ) its not your typical calamari seasoning that you’re probably used to in restaurants in SoCal but my god its so good. Very tender, cooked perfectly, seasoned nicely Popcorn chicken: 8/10 same seasoning as the calamari, it works so well but tbh the calamari is just so good Place: - Very filling, each bowl can feed TWO people at least - Its really warm inside sometimes - I think the menu is a bit confusing a bit? One bowl comes with a free iced tea (green/black) and one side (rice/noodle) and i didnt see that there so i was confused when he asked what tea i wanted with it - kinda wished the chopsticks are the disposable ones - they have a bathroom Overall: - I need a nap after this and we will be coming back for sure! Photo is the aftermath

Tasty Pot in Oxnard has some pretty good Taiwanese hot pot soups. The food was decent, and the service was goodβ€”not amazing, but solid. What really would have made the experience better was a little guidance when we walked in. No one asked if it was our first time, and there was no explanation about how the hot pot works, the spice levels, or the condiments available. The broths on their own are pretty bland, and I only realized after the fact that they have condiments on the side you can add to enhance the flavorβ€”things like salt, sugar, and spice. But no one told us that, and I accidentally made my soup a little too spicy by guessing. If someone had explained that to us up front, I think the meal could have gone from just okay to something really memorable. Also, the portions are huge. I wish someone had suggested that my girlfriend and I could share one hot pot instead of each ordering our own. That alone would’ve saved us money and prevented food waste. I ordered the vegetable broth with added beefβ€”most of the soups are seafood-based and I wasn't in the mood for that. My girlfriend had the kimchi broth with seafood and pork. She thought it was pretty good. Overall, the flavo
